Surgeons' Punch - Gin Cocktail Recipe
Created for sharing, this is a very refreshing tea based punch.
The recipe
Ingredients
- 60ml/ 2 parts Beefeater Gin
- 30ml/ 1 part lime juice
- 30ml/ 1 part sugar syrup
- 15ml/ 0.5 parts lime sherbet
- 90ml/ 3 parts green tea (chilled)
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Wedge of lime to garnish
Method
Glass: Punch Bowl & Cups.
Build all the ingredients over rock ice in a glass and stir to chill and mix. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
These quantities serve 2 but can be easily increased for larger groups.
Notes
Lime sherbet recipe: grate zest of 15 lemons and add to 200g of castor sugar. Muddle together and then add 600ml of lime juice. Heat if needed to dissolve the sugar and then strain.
