English Sangria - Gin Cocktail Recipe
An English take on the refreshing and iconic Spanish sharing cocktail. Great all year round.
The recipe
Ingredients
- 100ml/ 2 parts Beefeater 24 Gin
- 500ml/ 10 parts white wine
- 50ml/ 1 part Triple Sec
- 100ml/ 2 parts ginger beer
- 100ml/ 2 parts apple juice (cloudy)
- 100ml/ 2 parts English Breakfast tea (chilled)
- 50ml/1 parts elderflower cordial
- 2 table spoons honey syrup
- Lemon, orange and lime wedges 1 cup of apple chunks 4 sprigs or mint
Method
Glass: Jug and old fashioned glasses.
Half fill the jug with ice, then place all ingredients in the jug and stir well. Recap with ice if required. Serve individual portions with a ladle, making sure each has a few pieces of apple and some mint.
Notes
Substitute with other ‘orchard’ fruits to create your own twist.
